Game server specific rules

No griefing:

1. You must not destroy or modify the creations of others without permission, even if they are unprotected. If in doubt, ask
2. You must not steal from others
3. You must not kill animals belonging to other players
4. You must not harm other players outside of dedicated PVP arenas. This includes using potions that create a negative effect, or the construction of traps

No unfair modding or exploiting:

1. You must not use client-side tools/mods designed to give an unfair advantage
2. You must not exploit any bugs in the game or server, e.g. duplication bugs, glitching through blocks/the Nether ceiling, region/permission bypass, etc.
3. Mods that do not give unfair advantage, such as minimap mods, are fine. If unsure, ask a member of staff before using a client-side mod.

Use of Alternate Accounts:

• While alternate accounts are allowed, use of them in below situations is NOT allowed and will lead to an immediate ban of main and alternate account(s).

1. Use of alternate account in means to benefit yourself and/or others in scenarios below:
   • AFK (Away from keyboard) to keep chunk (area) loaded to allow crops, mob farms, etc. active while normally it would have unloaded if your main was not in the area
   • Bypass ANY ban occurred on a prior Minecraft account you played on CedarCraft.
   • Any attempt to cause server instability by use of excessive alternate accounts signed in at once. This will occur ALL accounts banned and up to IP ban. 

Redstone guidelines:

1. You may construct redstone contraptions on CedarCraft, as long as your build is not causing excess lag for the server or other players
2. Generally this happens with too many mobs or too many entities such as hoppers, item frames, chests or huge redstone contraptions, so please be mindful of the number of these you use.
3. If your build is found to be causing too much lag, staff reserve the right to ask you to amend or, if excessive, remove the build
4. The other exception is for flying machines constructed with slime blocks and pistons. These are only allowed as part of another mechanism such as a farm, as long as they remain constrained within it. Free-flying machines are not permitted.

Environment guidelines:

• These aim to prevent the server from looking ugly and uninviting. Builds not following these guidelines may be moved/removed without warning or compensation by staff and repeated breach of these guidelines may lead to a ban. If you are unsure about anything, please ask a member of staff

1. You should not build large eyesore structures. For example 1x1 towers, 1x1 holes/tunnels or large floating dirt platforms
2. Floating structures that look like they are meant to be floating, such as planes, are allowed however, as are natural-looking floating islands over water
3. You should build considerately, distancing your build at a comfortable distance from those built by other people (not everybody wants neighbours!), and further from towns to allow for expansion.
4. You should aim to keep the main world looking as natural as possible. Mass excavation should only be done in the resource worlds, other than clearing space for builds.
5. You must not scatter farms or performance-intensive builds across the world. Be mindful of the performance impact you may be having for other people trying to play nearby.
6. Farms that require specific locations, such as trident or witch farms, are allowed - but please follow the other guidelines and ensure they do not create excessive lag or look overly unnatural/ugly. Decorate!

• Attempts to get around a ban will result in getting the further accounts and IP's banned.
